Can I get a refund for my South Western Railway trip?

You can apply for a refund if you didn’t use your tickets, either because you changed your mind or disruptions prevented you from making your trip. Apply online within 28 days on the website. Just be aware, there may be a small administration fee on change of mind refunds.

What if my South Western Railway trip is delayed?

If delayed by 15 minutes or more, you can apply for a ‘delay repay’ - compensation for unscheduled trip delays. If you’ve travelled on a single or season ticket, you can be refunded 25% for delays of 15-29 minutes, 50% for delays of 30-59 minutes, and 100% for longer delays. If you’ve travelled on a return ticket, you’ll be refunded half of these values (for example, 25% for delays of 30-59 minutes), but you’ll receive a full refund for delays of 120 minutes or more.

Do I need to print out my South Western Railway tickets?

No - opt for an eTicket and choose ‘Download a mobile ticket’ as your delivery option on the app, or 'deliver as eTicket’ if booking on the website. You’ll be able to present this eTicket at the station.
