How to apply your Transport for Wales discount

Any discount provided by us on transport will be incorporated automatically into our deals and won’t require the use of a code. This is because there is currently no way to paste or apply a discount code during the booking process at Transport for Wales.

It’s completely free to download and offers a constant connection to the TfW service, with by-the-minute notifications on disruptions, diversions and alternative travel options. What’s more, the app allows you to go paperless by holding all your tickets digitally, making the app great for both admission and advice.

Transport for Wales senior railcard

Any senior citizens eager to travel or see family and friends will want to get their hands on an over 60’s railcard before booking. Having one will cut the cost of all train fares across Britain by a third, which can equate to dozens or even hundreds of pounds a year saved depending on the frequency of travel. Besides discounted tickets, a senior railcard also grants the user access to a range of vouchers and promotions from other providers, including discount wine crates, reduced gym packages and free beauty products.

Transport for Wales delivery options

Those who prefer paper tickets can have theirs delivered one of two ways from TfW:

• Royal Mail first Class (2-3 working days): £0.95
• Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm: £8.88

Transport for Wales refund policy

The type of ticket you buy dictates whether or not it is eligible to be refunded in cases of cancellation or delay. For example, advanced tickets are non-refundable but can be exchanged for a different ticket provided it is done before 18:00 the day before your scheduled departure.
